AHD Technology

AHD (Analog High Definition) is an HD video transmission system over analog coaxial cable that allows HD transmission over long distances, but at a very low cost, to meet the requirements of any type of installation, from the simplest to the most complex.

High Definition AHD DVRs

Hybrid AHD DVRs, compared to traditional DVRs that could only record low-quality video streaming (typically in the old "D1" standard, of around 700 horizontal lines, or just 414,720 pixels), can instead support resolutions far higher than 1,000,000 pixels like our AHD DVR 8008, capable of recording with the new AHD cameras with standard coaxial connection, without any image deterioration.
In particular, our DVR supports up to 8 AHD cameras with full HD resolution (720p), or up to 4 cameras (with HD resolution) for IP networks, or, again, two ultra-high definition cameras (FULL HD 1080p), expressing even in these contexts a high frame rate equal to 25 frames per second for each single camera possibly interconnected.

AHD Technology

The advantage offered by AHD DVRs and cameras is easily evident: this technology, despite its high performance, is still fully compatible with traditional analog video signal transmission systems, generally based on the common RG59 75 Ohm coaxial cable.
This makes it possible to immediately replace an old low-performance video surveillance system with a modern AHD video surveillance system, simply by reusing, without having to make any modifications, the old coaxial cables previously used with traditional video surveillance systems.
